The U.S. EPA is seeking nominations for its Mobile Sources Technical Review Subcommittee, which is designed to provide the Clean Air Advisory Committee with independent advice, counsel and recommendations on the scientific and technical aspects of programs related to mobile source air pollution and its control.
According to the EPA, the committee reviews and addresses a wide range of developments, issues and research areas, such as emissions modeling, emission standards and standard setting, air toxics, innovative and incentive-based transportation policies, onboard diagnostics, heavy-duty engines, diesel retrofit, and fuel quality.
A notice posted in the Federal Register lists a variety of criteria that will be used to evaluate nominees. The list includes “experience working with agricultural producers (corn and other crop products), distillers, processors and shippers of biofuels.”
Members serve three-year terms with the possibility of being reappointed to a second term. The committee usually meets twice a year. Nominations must be submitted by May 22. Additional information is available on the Federal Register website.
